Disc Box

This is a circular adaptation to the Block Box. Every movement to open the disc box is a rotation. Each of the 19 wheels mounted on the top of the box spins. However, a disc can only rotate when all other discs blocking it are rotated out of the way.

At it's most difficult setting it takes 150 moves to open the box. There are only three settings where no gaps are showing; when it is solved, at it's most difficult setting, and an intermediary setting. Personally, I like the way the gaps look so I photographed it with a few of them showing. To solve the puzzle you must align all the different colors so they form a triangular checker pattern as shown below. Then you may open the lid on a hinge.

See also Disc Box edition photos.

The pattern is matched up and the box is unlocked.

The box is open.
