Building the box for others to think outside of.
Math is a powerful tool and a lot of fun for me. I especially appreciated doing proofs on the chalkboard that relied on drawings. During one proof, I heard a gasp from the professors and I turned around thinking something was wrong. No they said, it's just that the circle I had drawn was so exact! This was somewhat of an anomaly in the math department. By my senior year in college I was bringing my equations across the campus to the woodshop to build 3-D mechanical models. A working model transforms math into a work of art. -Kagen Schaefer 2013
